Key Milestones

2009

Entry into Petrochemicals

Bottle Grade PET Resin business of South Asian Petrochem Limited (promoted by the group) in Haldia, West Bengal. Renamed Dhunseri Petrochem & Tea Limited.

2014

Restructuring

Tea division demerged; IT SEZ division reorganized. Focused on petrochemicals. Renamed Dhunseri Petrochem Limited.

2016

Strategic Joint Ventures

PET Resin business transferred to Dhunseri Petglobal Limited (now IVL Dhunseri Petrochem Industries Pvt. Ltd.), a 50:50 JV with Indorama Ventures Global Services, Thailand. Indian PET Resin capacities: Haldia (480,000 TPA, 2 plants), Panipat (216,000 TPA, 1 plant).Egyptian JV with Indorama Ventures Public Company Ltd. to restart PET resin facility in Ain Sokhna, Egypt – 540,000 TPA.

2018

Rebranding

Renamed Dhunseri Ventures Limited to reflect diversified operations.

2020

Polyester Films Expansion

Incorporated Dhunseri Poly Films Pvt. Ltd. on 28 November 2020 for BOPET/BOPP Film manufacturing.

Chairman's Message

At the helm of Dhunseri Ventures Limited is Chandra Kumar (C.K.) Dhanuka, a visionary industrialist and respected corporate leader. As Chairman of the Dhunseri Group, Mr. Dhanuka has guided the company’s transformation from a strong domestic player into a diversified conglomerate with a global footprint.

Recognised for his strategic foresight, business integrity, and commitment to sustainable growth, he has been instrumental in forging key partnerships—most notably the joint venture with Indorama Ventures that made DVL one of India’s largest PET resin producers.

Under his leadership, DVL continues to expand its presence in manufacturing, infrastructure, packaging, and international retail, while upholding the Group’s long standing values of quality, trust, and community responsibility.
